Agora Data, Inc. is Hiring a Paralegal Near Arlington, TX

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team in the auto finance industry. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and a solid understanding of legal procedures and terminology related to auto finance. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the legal operations of a rapidly growing company in the automotive finance sector.


This is a full-time, on-site role.


What You’ll Do

  • Assist in drafting and preparing legal documents related to auto finance transactions, including contracts, agreements, and disclosures.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations governing auto finance operations, including consumer protection laws and lending regulations.
  • Conduct thorough due diligence reviews of contracts, agreements, and other legal documents to identify potential risks and ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Conduct legal research on various issues related to auto finance, including case law, statutes, and regulations, to support attorneys in providing legal advice and guidance.
  • Manage and maintain case files, including organizing documents, correspondence, and other materials, and assisting attorneys in preparing for hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings.
  • Communicate with clients, external counsel, and other stakeholders to gather information, coordinate activities, and provide updates on legal matters as needed.
  • Provide administrative support to the legal team, including scheduling meetings, maintaining calendars, and handling other clerical tasks as required.
  • Assist in assessing legal risks associated with auto finance transactions and recommend strategies to mitigate such risks.
  • Collaborate with internal departments, including finance, compliance, and risk management, to ensure alignment with legal requirements and objectives.
  • Monitor vendor activities for compliance.
  • Stay informed about developments in auto finance laws and regulations, industry trends, and best practices to improve processes and procedures continuously.
  • Perform other tasks and projects as assigned.

What You Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in paralegal studies, legal studies, or related field.
  • Previous experience working as a paralegal in a law firm, corporate legal department, or financial institution, preferably in the auto finance industry.
  • Strong knowledge of legal principles, procedures, and terminology related to auto finance.
  • Proficiency in conducting legal research using online databases and other resources.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex legal concepts effectively.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal software applications.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated commitment to professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.


Preferred Skills

  • Experience with document management systems and electronic discovery tools.
  • Familiarity with specialized areas of auto finance law, such as consumer lending regulations and lease agreements.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
